Blogging has become big business in Nigeria with some of the top platforms raking in millions regularly. Whilst digital media marketing is booming and many are struggling to catch up with it, certain individuals have already positioned themselves at the top, thanks to years of experience and consistency.
One Nigerian blogger, who has been able to merge information, juicy gists and entertainment with warmth and humility is the popular Olori SuperGal. It won’t be surprising if the first time you heard the name Olori SuperGal, you found it funny. However, the distinctness of the name has carved a niche for her within the infinite waters of the Nigerian blogosphere.
Behind “Olori SuperGal” is the woman called Tosin Ajibade, a 2009 graduate of accounting from Lagos State University, who also holds a certificate in media enterprise from the Pan Atlantic University, Nigeria.
Tosin started out as a publicist in 2009. She created the Olori Supergal Blog in 2010. In 2011, she joined BlackHouse Media as a web manager. In 2012, she left BHM to fully focus on blogging with intensity and passion.
In 2014, Tosin was listed among YNaija’s 100 Most Influential Women in Nigeria and her blog is considered today as one of the most reputable and popular in Nigeria.
Olori SuperGal is also the brain behind the 2015 New Media Conference, a digital media event that attracted top names in the Nigerian digital marketing industry. Tosin also uses her platform to support worthy causes such as the World Vitiligo Day and World Sickle Cell Day.
