Word on the street is that Kanye West is back on Twitter! He deleted his Instagram and Twitter accounts in May 2017 but without any warning, he re-activated his Twitter account and promptly deleted his history on Friday, 13 April, 2018. He has been known to go off and on his social platforms several times, so no one was startled by his actions.
Infact, he was welcomed back personally by Twitter co-founder, Jack Dorsey to the platform.
Well, we’re definitely not asking why he does what he does. But we can’t forget how awesome he has been on social media in the past few years.
He created a buzz for his album in 2016
Shared a valentine’s day gift for his wife on Instagram in 2017 before he surprised everyone by deleting his account less than 24 hours later
He found a way to keep everyone talking about his music which mysteriously got over 100,000 illegal downloads in a day
He became a star at the Grammys in 2014 without even attending the music awards ceremony but by ranting on Twitter.
That time when he ruled out a future career in comedy
Now that he’s back, Kim Kardashian’s husband has been ever so inspirational, sharing pictures of his fashion label’s boots and telling random stories on his Twitter account. Guess what?! He follows just one person- his wife!!!
Well, all his fans love him regardless (He has 12.1M followers and counting already!) and they can’t get enough of the super star. He’s so cool, we gathered marketing tips inspired by his actions especially on Twitter. These are some of them.
- Choose a platform that relates with your brand. Your brand doesn’t need to be on all social media platforms and Kanye has proven that to be true. He doesn’t have a Facebook page or an Instagram account. Choose specific platforms where you know you can get ultimate engagement for your brand.
- Make sure your content is original. Authentic posts that signify that you’re indeed human and relatable will help you stay ahead of your peers in your industry. West has proclaimed himself as a genius and the best in the world and he sticks to that byline even in his posts.
- Ensure love is a part of your brand’s image. This proud father of three doesn’t hide the fact that he loves his wife and kids. Love makes the world go around and will definitely help your brand do the same.
